About Me

I grew up in the Deep South. After trying out aerospace engineering and poetry as an undergraduate I settled on philosophy — perhaps their golden mean? I'm a runner and a language enthusiast — Latin is my obsession, but I also read German and French and plan to add Spanish and Ancient Greek. I like to code and am an avid Neovim user. I love the outdoors, animals (esp. my cat Alice), and learning about science, math, and history. Though my research is in contemporary philosophy, I am also passionate about the ancients. I am a Trekkie. 🖖
